Originally from New Zealand, my career journey has been anything but linear. Now based in London, having lived and worked in 5 countries across 3 continents has broadened my perspective, influencing who I am and enabling me to connect naturally with diverse cultures and backgrounds in all aspects of my personal and professional live
I began my career as a technical trainee out of high school in New Zealand working for the government broadcaster. This gave me an amazingly deep and broad technical grounding, and there are a lot of reflection points in my current work life that draw parallels back to those first few formative years working as a teenager.
A discussion under a sunshade beside a pool while on holiday in Sydney with our toddler, began a deliberate choice to push ourselves to try something new when the opportunity arises. This has led us to live and work in multiple continents and develop both personally and professionally. Living and working in London is the culmination of that journey and we feel very much at home with the culture and values reflecting those that we grew up with in New Zealand.
I feel that I have taken a new skill with me at every step of my journey. I very much have a passion for all things technical, especially in the telecommunications and renewable sectors, and I take great joy from seeing development in others in both professional and personal aspects.
